Twitter and Elon Musk both claim federal agencies are investigating the other party. Exactly why is not known.
The dispute over the takeover of Twitter between Elon Musk and Twitter itself continues. According to Twitter, the US federal authorities are investigating Musk – the reason for this is his behavior in the $ 44 billion takeover of Twitter, the news agency Reuters and CNN report, citing Twitter. What the investigations relate to and which federal authority is investigating, Twitter did not say.
Musk’s attorney, Alex Spiro, denied the information, saying the federal agency was instead investigating Twitter executives. Twitter declined to comment on Spiro’s statement.
Judge Kathaleen McCormick in the US state of Delaware paused the dispute between the two parties on October 6 because Musk had said he wanted to make the purchase after all. If Musk hasn’t completed the acquisition by October 28, a new hearing date will be set for November.
