KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) again warned about the index of ultraviolet (UV) radiation in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) regions for today, Friday (7/7/2020).
Launching its official Instagram account, BMKG said, the Jabodetabek region on Friday at 08.00-09.00 WIB has a UV index of 0-2 with a low to moderate risk of danger. At 10.00-11.00 WIB and 12.00-13.00 WIB, the UV index is at moderate to very high risk. Meanwhile, at 14.00-15.00 WIB, the UV index is at low to moderate danger.

Please note, the impact of direct exposure to UV light can be in the form of skin damage to cancer. Therefore, protection must be carried out considering the danger that the impact obtained. Moreover, Indonesia is a country that gets the longest allotment of sunshine throughout the year.
The community is advised to avoid activities at 10:00 to 16:00. If there are people who want to enjoy the sun with full vitamin D, people can do drying with a duration of less than 15 minutes.

In general there are actually two types of UV light, namely UVA and UVB. But if people get too much UV light it is clear that in the near future it will have an impact on body health.
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (Epa.gov) recommends that we avoid the scorching heat at the appointed time, which is 10:00 to 16:00. If forced to do, do not be exposed to UV light for too long and try to take shelter in a closed place.
