Over 200 young dribblers in Baguio City and Benguet were given an insight into the basics and basics of basketball at the Alaska Basketball Power Camp 2019 during the weekend at Cooyeesan Plaza.
The Baguio participants were the first to have the chance to be coached by Alaska-certified trainers led by the Power Camp Director, the legend of the Philippine Basketball Association and Alaska Aces Assistant Trainer Jeffrey Cariaso.
Cariaso said that they were looking forward to the Baguio stage of the two-day rejuvenation camp, which offers offensive and defensive skills as well as hours of hard work and discipline.
"Baguio is unique because the participants are very eager to learn, they are passionate about basketball and always ready to learn," Cariaso added.
Alaska Sports focuses on promoting sports programs that shape, train, challenge and encourage children to achieve their dreams and goals.
The two-day training camp also wants to teach the children that the true spirit of participation not only wins the game, but is the spirit of learning the values or the determination, hard work, teamwork and the spirit of discipline and sportiness.
With the launch of Baguio City, Alaska Sports will host the next annual program with Manila and Bacolod.
