Barcelona Debut in friendly against Nastic
Konrad de la Fuente has made history for the United States by becoming the first American to play for the Barcelona first team.
The midfielder made his debut in the friendly against Nastic, playing 45 minutes in total.
The youngster formed part of Ronald Koeman‘s squad which also featured Inaki Pena, Nelson Semedo, Ronald Araujo, Jorge Cuenca, Junior Firpo, Frenkie de Jong, Riqui Puig, Philippe Coutinho, Konrad, Francisco Trincao and Martin Braithwaite.
Barcelona ran out 3-1 winners at the Johan Cruyff stadium with Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho both returning to action.
From the source, who is 19 years old, had already been called up to the first team squad by Quique Setien for the latter stages of the Champions League in Lisbon.
After the match the youngster showed his gratitude on social media for having been given his opportunity.
