Raipur – Chhattisgarh Governor Anusuya Uyke criticized BCCI for not inviting India-New Zealand to watch the second ODI match. The complaint is that the governor did not invite him to watch the ODI match held at the Shaheed Vir Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur last Saturday. Raj Bhavan will protest to the central government and BCCI over the incident.

Prominent political leaders and top officials of the state had come to watch the first one-day international match at the Raipur Stadium. State Chief Minister Bhupesh Bhagel, ministers and MLAs were invited to the stadium. The judges of Chhattisgarh High Court were also invited to the event. The Raj Bhavan spokesperson responded that the protest will be conveyed to the Center and the BCCI immediately.

The state government has clarified that it bears no responsibility for not receiving an official invitation to the Raj Bhavan. The state government’s position is that the stadium has only been given to BCCI, the organizers, and all other matters are BCCI’s responsibility. India defeated New Zealand by eight wickets in Raipur. With the win, India won the series.
