Bennedict Mathurin presents himself to the draft

The Canadian Bennedict Mathurin (19 years old, 1.98 m) announced on Twitter that he was leaving Arizona to run for the NBA draft. Eleventh on the ESPN ‘big board’ (2nd among the wingers), the Pac 12 Player of the Year is expected as a lottery pick.

Seeded No. 1 in the NCAA tournament, his Wildcats ended the season with a record of 33 wins for 4 losses. In 37 games played, he averaged 17.7 points (47.1% on shots, 41.8% on 3-pointers), 5.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

The combined draft will take place between May 16 and 22 in Chicago. The draft will take place in Brooklyn on June 23.
