Arrived this summer from Celta Vigo on loan with an option to buy, Ruben Blanco managed to help Olympique de Marseille when Pau López was injured at the start of the season.
An arrival in the shadows
The departure of Steve Mandanda in the direction of Stade Rennais has therefore freed up a place in the Olympian squad. The arrival ofIgor Tudor in command of the team propelled Pau Lopez in indisputable holder. The Spanish goalkeeper did not steal this place as he was solid in his cages last season. paul longoria and his partner Javier Ribalta therefore looked for a goalkeeper who would agree to be a substitute while having a good relationship with Pau. The logic was therefore to take a player who does not have a lot of playing time, and if possible Spanish, which would make a Hispanic duo to keep the Marseille goals.
The devotion of the trio Longoria, Flip et Tudor so jumped on ruben white. He has 142 games for Celta, but came on as a substitute following a major injury that sidelined him for 18 months. The Spaniard therefore has experience and agrees to be a substitute. It therefore arrives in the form of a one-season loan with an option to buy.

Pau’s misfortune makes Blanco happy
OM’s start to the season was marked by the injury of Pau Lopez. Away from the pitch for 1 month, so it’s ruben white which is brought to light at the opening of the season, and it does not shake. In the cages against Reims and Brest, he only conceded 2 goals in 2 games and showed some interesting things. Several parries on his line, a kicking game that needs to improve but has good bases. We therefore say to ourselves that it could very well replace Pau Lopez when needed.
Propelled…on the bench
The return of Pau Lopez against Nantes Blanco on the bench. And he won’t come out for the rest of the first part of the season. And it is logical, as the number 1 connects the benefits of high classes and settled in the Marseille cages. We therefore hope that the arrival of the Coupe de France in the new year will give the native of Mos some playing time.
