Binasco (Milan), April 23, 2019 – Serious traffic accident this morning around 5.45 am on A7 northern roadway, in the section between Binasco and the Barrier of Assago. A 42-year-old man resident in Pavese, married and father of two children, lost his life swept away by a car.
According to a first, still partial recovery, the man, who was going to work in Milan, would be dropped from his car to check the conditions after being buffered and at that point a third car that arrived overwhelmed him. On board there were two Ukrainian citizens who were going to the airport with the rented car. Medical assistance was provided on site with an ambulance of the White Cross of Binasco and a medical one. However, doctors and paramedics could not help but note the death of the man. To allow rescue operations the highway has been closed towards Milan and traffic diverted to alternative routes. Strong inconveniences have been registered with long queues on the A7 that reached the Pavia motorway junction. Tilt also the ordinary roads where cars and trucks have turned to the road west ring road and the Lombard capital. In particular, the former state road 35 dei Giovi, the Sp 40 Binasco-Melegnano and the Corsichese area were paralyzed. The motorway section it was then reopened just before 10.
