KTM team driver Binders finished on the Brno track on Sunday with a time of 41 minutes and 38,764 seconds. The Italian Franco Morbidelli (“Yamaha”) lost a little over five seconds, while the Frenchman Joan Zarko (“Ducati”) was about 1.2 seconds slower.

Binders became the first MotoGP rider since 2013 to win one of the Grand Prix stages in its debut season. In 2013, it was also done by the titled Spaniard Mark Marks, who won a total of six successes in his debut season.

The Frenchman Fabio Quartararo celebrated the victory in the first two stages of this season.

Significantly, for the first time since 2015, no Spanish motorcyclist was seen on the podium in the Czech Republic on Sunday.

Previously, the victory in the Moto2 class was won by the Italian Enea Bastianini (“Kalex”), who was in the leading position throughout the race and won for the second time in a row.

He is also the overall leader in his class.

Quartaro, Maverik Vinjales (“Yamaha”) lead the MotoGP class with 59 points, followed by Morbidelli (“Yamaha”) with 31 points.

Further stages are scheduled for Austria (16 and 23 August), Italy (13 and 20 September), Spain (27 September and 8 and 22 November) and France (11, 18 and 25 October). ).

The last stage of the season is expected on November 22.

The first stage of the season was scheduled for March 8 in Qatar, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, MotoGP athletes only started the championship at the end of July in the Spanish city of Heres.

The new season calendar foresees at least 13 stages this season.
