After a strong start from the Czechs, Portugal took control of the game early on. Czech goalkeeper Tomáš Vaclík does not hit the game device when trying to defend himself with his fist, but the player and his arm lands in the face of the superstar.

Cristiano Ronaldo then falls to the ground, lies on the lawn covered in blood and has to be treated for several minutes – his nose was severely affected. But: CR7 can finally continue. However, the Portuguese were not awarded a penalty – Ronaldo was offside before the failed fist defence.

In the end, it was just a “warm-up game” for the Portuguese with a 4-0 (1-0) win against the Czech Republic for the top duel against neighboring Spain next Tuesday (8:45 p.m. / DAZN). A brace from Diogo Dalot (33’/52′), Bruno Fernandes (45’+2′) and Diogo Jota (82′) ultimately ensured success in Prague. In added time in the first half, Ronaldo caused a hand penalty, but Bayer Leverkusen’s striker Patrik Schick, who was in trouble in the league, shot it over the goal. Portugal are top of Group 2 of League A with 10 points, followed by Spain with 8 points.
