Boles resigns conservative whip – BBC News

Following the failure of his own motion to stay in the Internal Market, Nick Boles has retired from the Conservative Party.

Mr Boles said he had tried to find a "compromise" for Brexit but said he had "failed".

He gave up the whip and said, "I failed mainly because my party made no compromises.

"So I regret to say that I can not sit for this party anymore."
