The 2022 Book Fair (Felich) “Las Letras del Norte” came to an end, which successfully carried out 137 activities for the whole family, where more than 20 publishers met, as well as various exhibitors, some from out of state, in the Chihuahua Convention and Exhibition Center, being this edition in person after two years of presenting it virtually due to the global health contingency.
The cultural event achieved its purpose: to encourage and promote reading and writing, such as book presentations, workshops, conferences, shows, analysis tables, interactive readings, and a totally free cosplay contest, where the only outlay made by the Chihuahuan people went to the acquire some of the books that were being exhibited, where the literary genre was extensive and for all tastes, the fair also joined the Good End.
In the same way, topics about inclusion were addressed, with activities translated into the Mexican Sign Language; attention to specific audiences, events and workshops aimed at girls, boys and young people; as well as the creation of four literary axes: Intangible Cultural Heritage, Restoration of Pleasure through Reading, Zero Day, and Feminism; Likewise, the Rogelio Treviño and Nellie Campobello State Awards were delivered and the state meetings of Reading Mediators and Libraries were held.
National Book Day is celebrated in Mexico on November 12, instituted by presidential decree in 1979, to commemorate the birth of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, one of the greatest figures in Spanish-American literature, for which this 2022 edition began precisely that day.
Also offered within the literary meeting were workshops for children and young people, a concert by the group “Junior Jazz Band Tohuí”; the multidisciplinary event of the Desert Jazz Collective and the musical intervention of the group “Big Band Jazz Chihuahua”.

Additionally, there was the participation of prominent authors such as: Daniel Spartaco, Raul Manriquez, Alejandro Vazquez, Oscar Viramontes Olivas, Sergio Perez Torres, Health Ochoa, Guadalupe Guerrero, Alejandra Eme Vazquez, Ruth Vargas, Laura Sofia Rivero, Victoria Marin Fallas, by to mention some of them.
