BrahMos Bought to Face China in the North Natuna Sea, Indonesia Can Even Be Sanctioned by America’s CAATSA, Why?

Zonajakarta.com- Instead of being happy because it will soon have a BrahMos supersonic missile that can make China anxious in the North Natuna Sea, Indonesia is actually faced with the threat of US (US) CAATSA sanctions.

Indonesia is rumored to be soon buying BrahMos supersonic missiles from India.

Just like the Philippines, Indonesia is rumored to be buying BrahMos from China to face China in North Natuna.

In an article published by Financialexpress.com on 19 July 2022, India’s eastern policy is said to be getting a boost when another export order for a coast-based anti-ship variant of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile at the end of the year is signed.

Sources have confirmed to Financial Express Online “Talks with Indonesia are in advanced stages for the export of the Indo-Russian BrahMos supersonic cruise missile.

The deal could have been signed earlier, however, due to the country’s internal problems, by the end of the year, or early next year it is expected to be signed.”

Indonesia will become the second Asean member country after the Philippines to import missiles from India.
