Brazilian Players Sick, Antony Blames Qatar Stadium AC

any number of players Brazil have to play with less fit conditions at World Cup 2022. Brazilian winger Antony believes the stadium cooler (AC) was the trigger.

Squad Selecao got sick last week. Neymar is no exception, who is recovering from an ankle injury, also suffering from fever symptoms.

Still, disease could not hold Brazil back. The Samba team successfully won their first two group phase matches after beating Serbia 2-0 and Switzerland 1-0 so they have the right to progress to the round of 16.

On the other hand, Antony did not escape a fever attack at the start of the 2022 World Cup. According to Antony, this was caused by the air conditioning in the stadium.

“It’s a little difficult. I ended up feeling discomfort for a few days which complicated it a little,” said Antony about his fitness.

“My recovery is going well and I’m back at 100 per cent. I’m sick, throat related. It’s because of the AC [di stadion]. It’s not just me who is like this, but several other players also have coughs and sore throats,” he continued ESPN Brasil.

“It’s very difficult for me because of illness. However, I’m happy to be an important part of the team. Whenever you need Antony, I’m ready,” the 22-year-old player is straightforward.

Antony has played twice for Brazil at the 2022 World Cup. The Manchester United player is ready to appear again when Brazil is challenged by Cameroon in the final Group G match, Saturday (3/12) WIB.
