Brijesh Jeevarathnam succeeds Kelly Meldrum as Global Head of Fund Investments at Adams Street Partners


Adams Street PartnersLLC, a private markets investment firm with more than $50 billion in assets under management, announced today that Brijesh Jeevaratnam Promoted to Partner & Global Head of Fund Investments. Jeevarathnam, who joined Adams Street in 2016 as a Partner in Primary Investments, will also join the firm’s Executive Committee as part of his new role.

Jeevarathnam succeeds Kelly Meldrum, who is retiring after 17 years as a partner and head of Primary Investments. Meldrum will relinquish her duties at the end of the year and will be available through the end of the first quarter of 2023.

Since joining Adams Street, Jeevarathnam has been instrumental in creating and scaling the firm’s venture innovation and leaders programs and has acted as portfolio manager for several separately managed accounts. Prior to Adams Street, Jeevarathnam spent 10 years at Commonfund Capital where he held a leadership role and was involved in the management of a $14 billion global private equity portfolio.

As part of the change in leadership Saguna Malhotra, currently Partner in Primary Investments, promoted to Partner & Head of Global Buyout Fund Investments. Malhotra will focus on global calibration and strategy for Adams Street’s buyout fund portfolios worldwide. She joined Adams Street in 2015 from Stanford Management Company, where she oversaw a $6 billion global private equity portfolio.
