Brit Tony Garnett made the headlines last year: his family took in Sofiia, a Ukrainian who had fled the Ukraine war. Shortly thereafter he fell in love with the 22-year-old – and left his wife and two children for her.
This was followed by a veritable love tangle: after a relationship and a “broken heart”, the two found each other again. But now Tony has been arrested for domestic violence.
The 30-year-old was escorted out of his home in handcuffs by eight police officers. This was after neighbors in Bradford, UK, “heard screams”.
The father of the family justifies himself to the “Sun”: There was only a verbal argument between him and Sofiia. Because the Ukrainian was annoyed that he “puts his daughters first”.
He only played with his daughter on a game console. That was already too much for Sofia. “She wanted me to spend time with her,” says Tony.
But “of course my children always come first”. Then there was a big argument, at the same time the Brit reassured: “It wasn’t bad.”
He said he was released without charge.
