British press: Andrew will not attend Elizabeth’s jubilee next year

According to the newspaper, the choice to exclude Andrew from the anniversary has to do with the abuse case brought against him by Virginia Giuffre. The prince must be questioned under oath in the case and his statement must be made on July 14 next year, a judge in New York has ruled. Andrew’s presence could overshadow Elizabeth’s anniversary celebration.

An insider tells The Sun that the prince is supposed to be “invisible” during the festivities. Andrew, 61, who has previously renounced his royal duties, will not appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with the Queen and other ‘senior royals’ during the British Air Force’s overflight.

During the four-day festive weekend, next year from 2 to 5 June, a major concert at Buckingham Palace with several world stars is on the program.
