BTPN Jenius Customer Story Conceded Rp 110 Million in Savings

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Theresia Avila or known as Riri, shared on her Twitter account that she lost Rp 110 million in her savings deposit at Jenius BTPN.

Tabungan tersebut hilang setelah mendapatkan panggilan telepon mengatasnamakan Customer Services Jenius Connect. "Penipuan lebih dari Rp 110 juta mengatasnamakan Jenius BTPN. Semoga masih rezeki uang tabungan study dan nikah gue balik,” kata Riri dalam akun Twitter @theresiaavila pada Senin, 19 Juli 2021.

Lebih lanjut, kejadian yang dialami Riri terjadi pada Rabu, 14 Juli 2021 lalu. Saat itu dia mendapatkan telepon yang mengaku seorang customer service Jenius BTPN.

Riri diinfokan oleh petugas tersebut bahwa ia harus mengganti kartu debitnya karena merupakan kebijakan yang harus dilakukan secara berkala oleh nasabah. “Saat itu gue ga ada perasaan curiga,” katanya.

Then, Riri was asked to fill in link which are given. Not only that, when Riri was filling out the link, the perpetrator explained that he would increase the limit and asked for other bank accounts outside Jenius.

The account that the person asked was another bank account used by Riri to fill the balance at Jenius.

Riri realized that something was wrong. Then, he checked the Jenius application and found that it was already logged out and couldn’t log back in.
