Burger King sues Burger King in a bargain dispute!
Two Berlin restaurateurs and operators of Burger King branches are rebelling against the regular discount campaigns of the parent company Burger King Europe, with which the management wants to attract guests and increase sales.
The house-busting fast-food giant now also employs the Munich Higher Regional Court – possibly with consequences for the business policy of the US fast food chain.
➤ Background: Burger King regularly offers selected burgers and other food cheaper, the advertising campaigns are paid through fees that the parent company requires from the operators of the restaurants.
The citizens of Berlin argue that they made a loss with the discount campaigns "King of the Month" and "Probation Weeks". Therefore they demand compensation.
In the first instance before the Munich district court, the restaurateurs were largely right. Now, the Higher Regional Court in the second instance must deal with it.
