He had just proudly presented his triplet girls, now rapper Bushido (43) is in trouble …
Charges have been brought against the German rap star on suspicion of joint arson. A spokeswoman for the Potsdam public prosecutor’s office confirmed this on Thursday. There are two other suspects. The “Stern” had previously reported.
In 2013 there was a fire in Bushido’s villa in Kleinmachnow (Potsdam-Mittelmark district), the police assumed it was arson. The district had previously imposed a construction freeze because conditions on the listed villa had not been complied with.
The spokeswoman did not say on Thursday whether the charge by the Potsdam public prosecutor’s office relates to this case. Bushido’s lawyer Steffen Tzschoppe did not want to comment on the indictment at the request of the German Press Agency.
If the 43-year-old family man is convicted, he faces a prison sentence of up to ten years. Bushido already has a relevant criminal record. The court sentenced him to an eleven-month suspended prison sentence for faking a break-in in his ornamental fish shop in 2014 and receiving a high six-figure sum from the insurance company.
The rapper and his wife Anna-Maria Ferchichi last testified as a witness before the Berlin district court in a trial against a Berlin clan chief. Bushido had compared his relationship with Arafat Abou-Chaker to a forced marriage. The public prosecutor’s office accuses the clan chief of insulting, depriving him of liberty, attempting serious blackmail, coercion and dangerous bodily harm.
Anna-Maria and her husband had only shown their triplet girls to the public via Instagram on Wednesday. “Hopefully many years of happiness and health lie ahead of us with you,” wrote Bushido.
Now the new developments …
