Borussia Dortmund will not be able to hold Jadon Sancho for the current season, according to current expert opinion. With the BVB the Englishman stands however still until 2022 under contract, which absolutely prohibit absolute statements about the future of the 19-year-old in this kind. This is also how Hans-Joachim Watzke sees it.
"Nope, not really", Replies the BVB CEO on the,Sky'Question if Sancho will be on the market next summer. The logical explanation provides Watze with the same:Because he has a contract with us."
In the aftermath, however, he relativizes the already not very clear change embargo: "A player like Jadon, who has an extraordinary, huge talent – then, if you're honest, you do not have to pretend that we're not talking to him right now, if anything is coming or maybe he's coming and saying, I would like to change to the terms and conditions'."
FT opinion: No doubt, Sancho will be one of the hottest transfer issues this coming summer. The black and yellow are not forced to sell the youngster, but have repeatedly proven in recent years that they agree, when an immoral offer from England or Spain flaps.
