Canada snatch victory against Japan in preparation for the World Cup

Still deprived of Alphonso Davies, Canada obtained a deserved victory against Japan Thursday (2-1) in a preparation match for the World Cup in Qatar (November 20-December 18). The Canadians however quickly conceded the opener, signed Yuki Soma (9th), before reacting through Steven Vitoria (21st). Rather dominating, they were finally rewarded with a penalty converted by Lucas Cavallini after additional time (90 + 5th).

Canada is thus putting itself in the best possible position before starting its World Cup next Wednesday against Belgium (8 p.m.), while Japan will face Germany the same day (2 p.m.).
