Berlin According to a study, in 2030, for the first time, more cars with electric drives than with combustion engines could be sold. The business consultancy Boston Consulting Group (BCG) adds battery-powered cars and vehicles with hybrid drives. Drivers for the development include pressure from the regulations imposed by regulators on pollutant emissions and falling battery costs. The battery price is expected to fall by 80 percent between 2014 and 2030, BCG predicted.
