Casa Miño, with its 48 years of experience, faces a new stage with remodeled facilities according to the trends of the 21st century, while maintaining the delicacy of traditional and sustainable gastronomic culture.
It was 1972 when Herminio and Nieves decided to bet on the restoration in Pola de Somiedo as a way of life. A marriage of entrepreneurs with well-distributed tasks: he in the daily management and she in charge of the stove. A few years later, the effort, determination and inexhaustible illusion of both have made Casa Miño a must-see in Somiedo, and a point of reference for many national and foreign tourists, without forgetting the Asturian themselves.
Now, the reins fall to the second generation, his son Herminio and his wife Luzma, who wish to perpetuate the quality and culinary tradition, with exceptional facilities. Its traditional pots and roasts, with self-cultivation vegetables worked with great care and meats from the best Asturian livestock, will remain the same as before, yes, in a renovated environment and appropriate to the needs and demands of the 21st century.
From a technical point of view, the kitchen has been installed with state-of-the-art elements, which combine culinary efficiency and the strictest sanitary and environmental control.
This is the key to the success of the Casa Miño restaurant, the fusion of the traditional with the innovative and the sustainable. And all this in facilities that will not leave indifferent to any of its customers.
