Central Bank of Brazil raises GDP growth forecast for 2022 to 1.7%

BRASILIAJun 23 – The Brazilian Central Bank upgraded its growth outlook for 2022 to 1.7% from 1%, according to an official presentation on Thursday.

According to the Central Bank, the current account surplus will go from 5,000 million dollars to 4,000 million this year.

Monetary policymakers also revised their forecast for outstanding loan growth this year to 11.9% from 8.9%.
