At CES 2023 earlier this month, Razer unveiled their Leviathan V2 Pro soundbar, which is specifically designed for gamers. The soundbar features AI tracking and so-called beamforming, which provides control over the direction of the sound, through phase manipulation of the sound sent from the soundbar’s five speaker units. It is the first soundbar for the desktop that has AI tracking and beamforming, allowing for a more immersive gaming experience.
The soundbar is assisted at the bottom by a subwoofer equipped with a single five-inch base unit, and is capable of delivering a sound pressure of 98 dB at the desk. It also features Razer Chroma lighting with 30 lighting zones and 16 million colors.
Razer has collaborated with THX and Audioscening to provide the best of headphones and surround systems in a 60 cm long plank on the printer’s desk. The THX Spatial Audio Virtual Headset promises to provide the same precisely positioned sound previously only found in headsets, while the THX Spatial Audio Virtual Speakers mimic a wide, spatial sound image, as one would experience with a complete home theater system.
The Razer Leviathan V2 Pro kit costs EUR 490 (NOK 5,225). It is an exciting development in the world of gaming, and CES 2023 has proven to be a great event for gamers, with the introduction of this new soundbar.
