The French and the Spaniard will launch the opening ceremony at 7:30 pm at the Louis Lumière Auditorium located in the Palais des Festivals.
Charlotte Gainsbourg and Javier Bardem have one thing in common: they were both directed as actors by 2019 Jury President Alejandro González Iñárritu. Charlotte Gainsbourg in 21 grams in 2004 and Javier Bardem in Biutiful in 2010.
