Charlotte Hornets not offering Miles Bridges max contract after he uploaded photo of himself drinking lean and smoking weed

The Charlotte Hornets refused to offer Miles Bridges a maximum contract after he uploaded an image of himself allegedly drinking lean meat and smoking weed.

According to reportsBridges demanded a maximum contract after he was the team’s leading scorer during their breakout 2021-22 season.

A maximum contract would include more than $30 million per season and bonuses for Bridges. But reports indicate the Hornets refused to pay a potential drug addict a maximum contract.

According to TPSBridges’ actions off the court made it easier for the Hornets to make their decision.

“The 24-year-old Charlotte Hornets player posted on his Instagram Stories a joint and Styrofoam cup with a pink/purple colored liquid inside.”

Lean, also called purple drink, is a mixture of prescription codeine cough syrup, a soda and hard candy in a Styrofoam cup.

“From what I was told, he is not being offered a maximum contract from the Charlotte Hornets at this time,” Brian Windhorst said via ESPJN. “So, he’s going to go out on the market, starting Thursday or Friday, and see if he can get that offer somewhere else.”
