To repeat the act, men must respect an interval of two months and women are unable to do so for three months.
New coronavirus – As for volunteers infected by the new coronavirus, the impediment to donate blood occurs for a period of 30 days, counted after recovery. On the other hand, people who have only had contact with infected people, but do not show symptoms of Covid-19 in the last 14 days, can donate blood normally.
In the case of volunteers who took the vaccines against Covid-19 and Influenza, an interval must be respected to apply for blood donation. In the case of Influenza, the interval is 48 hours, as well as for those who took the CoronaVac vaccine, aimed at preventing the new coronavirus. As for volunteers who took the immunizers AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Janssen, intended for the prevention of Covid-19, the Ministry of Health (MS) determines that the interval is 7 days.
