The visitors enjoyed the most wonderful summer temperatures and music on Sunday on the lawn of the TSV sports field at the picnic concert of the “Altmannshausen brass band”, a district of Markt Bibart with just 300 inhabitants. Previously, the TSV team around Richard Chsner and Reiner Eberth had divided the grass pitch into corona intervals and marked it with a cross, on which they placed tables and benches. The guests took their seats at them and enjoyed the musical performance.
The 18 musicians in chic outfits, the men in lederhosen, waistcoats and white shirts and the women in traditional dresses and colorful aprons played Bohemian tunes under their conductor Bettina Henninger and had the hearts of around 300 visitors on their side from the start.
The conductor confessed that they had not given a concert for a year and a half and that it was time to get back to the crowd and please them with cheerful music. In addition, one could observe that with the temperatures and the close-clipped lawn, the musicians, including their conductor, took off their shoes to enjoy a little freshness “from below”.
After around three hours and a short break, the concert was over with prolonged applause, although some of the audience would have liked to have heard more including the local celebrities Mayor Birgit Brger and former Mayor Norbert Eberth and from Unterpleichfeld Mayor Alois Fischer.
