Chelsea and Wales youngster Ethan Ampadu on loan in January, according to reports.
Stamford Bridge having signed a new five-year deal at the club back in september.
Now, according to Birmingham Live, the Wales international, who has just returned from a knee injury, is attracting the attention of both Villa and the Rams.
Derby boss Frank Lampard revealed earlier in the season that Ampadu was made in the summer, but Maurizio Sarri, with the Italian believed to be keeping an eye on the youngster's development.
The chelsea legend said back in september: "I looked at him (Ampadu)." I spoke to him (Chelsea) manager and he told me he wants him in their squad, so it was a very short conversation.
"I was very impressed with Sarri. I think he is a great manager, great character.
"Quite right, he wants to be a part of his squad.
"It was a question, and we have fully moved on."

Chelsea wants to change their stance in January.
Speaking about transfers, Boss Dean Smith said: "We're going to look at the January market for a number of players.
"Myself, John (Terry) and Richard (O'Kelly) sat down with Suso (sporting director of Jesus Pitarch) and have all put in some good ideas so we'll move forward with that."
