Chelsea in danger in the Joao Felix file?

Joao Felix could join a club other than Chelsea during the summer transfer window. Atlético Madrid would expect 100 million euros to let him slip away.

Joao Felix on the departure of Atlético de Madrid? Rumors are rife this early spring. The Colchoneros would consider parting with the Portuguese player in the next transfer market for a sum of around 100 million euros. Although Chelsea are the most likely destination at the moment, other clubs are also said to be interested.

According to the newspaper Sport, Manchester United would also have an eye on Joao Felix, who could be the ideal replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who left in the fall. The Red Devils are looking to bolster their attack by signing several strikers, and Joao Felix would be a key element to accompany Marcus Rashford next season.

It’s too early for Chelsea

The Portuguese hasn’t had much playing time with Chelsea yet but has already shown positive signs of adapting to the Premier League. The London club would however require more guarantees before committing to keeping him permanently. We can also assume that the probable non-participation in the Champions League next season makes Londoners think about their summer investments. This hesitation could push the player to consider other destinations. Manchester United would therefore be ready to fight to sign him. The presence of Bruno Fernandes, his compatriot and friend of the Portuguese selection, could also weigh.

Manchester United are being sold, but that’s not stopping them from focusing on their goals for the next transfer window. Joao Felix would also be inclined to join the Mancunian club, where he would feel comfortable with coach Erik Ten Hag’s system of play.

Aged 23, Joao Felix has a contract with Atlético Madrid which runs until June 2027. The Portuguese international (28 caps, 4 goals) has so far scored 2 goals in 7 appearances in the Premier League.
