In the Italian Cup final, Juventus lost 4-2 to Inter in extra time, captain Giorgio Chiellini, in his speech after the match, announced that he would leave the team at the end of the season.
Although Chiellini, who has been playing for the Torino team for 17 years, has not announced his next address, the Italian defender is expected to play in MLS in the United States.
Stating that the decision is entirely his own, the 37-year-old player stated that he is now a Juventus fan.
Commenting on Hakan Çalhanoğlu’s team Inter, Chiellini said that Inter is the best team in the league and they deserve the trophy.
Chiellini, who was transferred to Fiorentina in 2004 after raising in the infrastructure of Livorno in Italy, and transferred to Juventus a year later, played exactly 560 matches for the Turin team, scored 36 goals and made 25 assists.
