Thatcher’s legacy has translated into a forty-year crackdown not only on the public system, but above all on any show of solidarity and any hint of community. With inequality and poverty at historic levels, Brexit was presented as a way out of this self-destructive spiral, but it was just another trap: the social divide has continued to grow. However, in that fracture a new musical scene has been forged that expresses all the anger and discontent that drowns the majority of society.
