The authorities in China deleted the end of the famous American movie “Fight Club”, produced in 1999, and replaced it with a message that appears on the screen that the authorities have won.

In the film’s original ending, the narrator, played by Edward Norton, kills his fictional alter-ego, Taylor Durden, played by Brad Pitt, before bombs destroy surrounding buildings, at the culmination of a subversive plot to reorganize society, dubbed Project Chaos.

In China, a message appears on the screen, before the bombings, that the police foiled the plot, arrested the criminals and sent Darden to a “lunatic asylum”.

“By the evidence left by Taylor Durden, the police quickly discovered the entire plan, arrested all the criminals, and succeeded in preventing the bomb from going off,” the new ending reads to viewers.
