Cinema: Anglet offers a free outdoor screening

The Deeply Pro Anglet (QS 1,500) accompanied by his famous Night Surf, should have been held this week, from August 25 to 30. For obvious reasons due to the pandemic which has swept away all the competitions scheduled for 2020, the Gloy was forced to cancel his own. The Anglet town hall nevertheless wished to give a nod to the event which would have celebrated its 6th edition this year, by organizing an outdoor screening at the Baroja Castle Park.

The session will be held this Thursday August 27 at 21h45. In the program ? A documentary WSL over the 5 years of Pro Anglet, ridden by Vincent Kardasik in the first part then the screening of the film 80 and Tal of Rafael Mellin, awarded at International Surf Film Festival in 2016 (ex-aequo with Biarritz Surf Gang).

The entrance is free but tickets can be collected from the Anglet Tourist Office as of today (Five Townships or Love Room). Attention, places limited to 300 people. Doors open tomorrow at 9 p.m.

The progress of the screening will of course take place in respect of barrier gestures with the wearing of the compulsory mask. This session will be a silent projection, infrared headsets will be distributed to you. Small reminder, the event can be canceled in case of capricious weather. Which is (normally) not expected tomorrow.

This session will surely not replace the fervor of the competition but it will allow you to send yourself a good dose of surfing as a consolation.
