Circular economy – Togolese Republic

The African Development Bank (AfDB) believes that the circular economy must be integrated into the continent’s development architecture.

“Circularity is a key area for Africa to recover quickly from the impact of the pandemic in order to create new jobs on the continent in a sustainable way,” said Kevin Kariuki, the Bank’s Vice President in charge of Energy and Climate Change, during the AfDB Annual Meetings taking place in Accra.

Africa’s transition to green growth is a step in the right direction to create a new value chain that reinvests in the economy and creates new green jobs, he added.
