The second phase of the vaccination campaign against foot-and-mouth disease for oxen, cows, bulls and buffalo runs until November 30 in the city of Japeri, in the Baixada Fluminense region.

The goal is to immunize 100% of the cattle. The disease is caused by a highly contagious virus that can be transmitted, for example, through milk, a cold sore and even urine.

Foot-and-mouth disease is not completely eradicated in the State of Rio.
