Clara Malo investigates ‘in vitro’ fertilization of camels

We spoke with the scientist Clara Malo, doctor in veterinary medicine, and director of the department of andrology and fertilization in vitro at the Dubai Camel Breeding Center in the United Arab Emirates.

His research focuses on the improvement of in vitro fertilization for racing camels. And it is that these animals are highly valued in this country, and are available to very few. Some cost 2.5 million euros. Maybe that’s why they call it ‘the sport of the sheikhs’.

Eduardo Oliver, CNIC scientist and collaborator of the program, accompanies us in the studios of the radio house.
