Since the morning, people over the age of 12 have been able to get vaccinated against the corona virus in the central mosque in Cologne’s Ehrenfeld district. The vaccinees can choose their own vaccine: Biontec, AstraZeneca or Johnson & Johnson. Vaccination with Biontech is only mandatory for children and adolescents under the age of 18.
Vaccination at the Cologne Central Mosque: The rush until noon is manageable
So far, the rush in the premises of the Cologne Central Mosque is still manageable. According to those responsible, only around 100 people had been vaccinated by noon, including some under the age of 18. You do not have to register for the vaccination, it does not matter whether it is the first or the second vaccination. People can come by until 5 p.m.
Registration is not necessary
If you want to be vaccinated, you can simply stop by the central mosque in Cologne’s Ehrenfeld district between 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on the weekend. In order to save time, it is worthwhile to bring the vaccination documents from the Robert Koch Institute with you. But it is not a prerequisite for a vaccination.
It is only important to bring your identity card and, if possible, your vaccination card. Children and young people under the age of 18 must also come accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
