The Etablissement français du sang is the sole civil operator of blood transfusion in France. At EFS, saving lives is the reason we get up every morning! And for this we are fortunate to count on the generosity of 1.7 million blood donors and the professionalism of 10,000 employees forming a united chain: the transfusion chain.
Organized into 11 metropolitan regions and 3 overseas departments which pool the necessary resources for patients, the EFS is thus present throughout the territory. The Establishment is also involved in many other activities, such as medical biology analyses, cell and tissue therapy and research.
