Constitution of the Municipal Council for Minors on the Universal Day of Children’s Rights.

On the afternoon of Friday, November 20, the new Municipal Council for Minors is constituted, coinciding with the celebration of the Universal Day of Children’s Rights.

Representatives from each of the Early Childhood and Primary Education schools that will be part of the council will be part of it, between 10 and 14 years old.

The plenary session will take place at 6:00 p.m., telematically, as a consequence of the situation derived from the Covid-19 pandemic, and may be followed through the YouTube channel of the Ávila City Council: link

Prior to the plenary session, sessions on child participation in democratic life have been held in the different centers.

Elections have also been held for the councilors who must represent the schools in the event that the former member of the Municipal Council for Minors had reached the age of majority and, therefore, had dropped out.

In the educational centers of the city, a specific manifesto will also be read today in all Primary courses and this afternoon, from 20 hours, the monument of The Four Posts and the corporeal in blue, identifying color of this day.
