Darmstadt and the districts of Darmstadt-Dieburg, Groß-Gerau and Offenbach are currently expanding their vaccination offers. The reason is not only the increasing demand, but also a requirement from the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs. The highest increase in new infections since the beginning of the pandemic was registered in the Odenwald. Update from Thursday, November 25th, 2021, 9.40 a.m .: Of the Odenwaldkreis has passed the mark of 400 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the seven-day incidence. According to the Robert Koch Institute, the value is now 408.3. The district health office in Erbach registered 66 new cases of corona infection. According to the district administration in Erbach, 601 people are currently considered to be acutely infected.
The health department of Odenwaldkreis recorded 395 new corona infections in the past seven days. Of the 395 infected people, 131 – and thus about one in three – were fully vaccinated, according to the district administration. At the Corona station in the Odenwaldkreis Health Center in Erbach 20 patients are currently being treated, four of them in intensive care. The test result is still pending for two people. There are eleven other people in clinics outside the district.
City of Darmstadt and districts are setting up vaccination centers again
First report from Wednesday, November 24th, 2021, 5.43 p.m .: the City of Darmstadt and the Darmstadt-Dieburg district are working to expand their vaccination offerings. As stated in a joint communication on Wednesday, the recently closed vaccination centers are to be partially reactivated. The state of Hesse had only ordered in autumn to close the vaccination centers on October 1. Now the country is demanding a reopening by December 5th.
The city will be next to the existing one Vaccination clinic opposite the health department, Bessunger Straße 125 (building F, entrance south side, access via Kattreinstraße) also parts of the Science and Congress Center Darmstadtium as a point of contact for those willing to be vaccinated. City of Darmstadt and districts increase vaccination capacities

Odenwald: Highest increase in new corona infections
Of the Odenwaldkreis reported on Wednesday, November 24th that the day before there had been 117 new cases, “the highest increase in new corona infections since the beginning of the pandemic”. There is “no clearly definable reason” for the significant increase, such as an outbreak of infection in a facility.
