By registering 2,091 new cases in the past 24 hours, Italy officially crossed the 200,000 contamination threshold on Tuesday since the start of the new coronavirus pandemic. The daily report released by the Civil Protection also reports an additional 382 deaths, bringing the total Italian deaths of the Covid-19 to 27,359.

Italy yesterday recorded 1,739 new cases and 333 new deaths yesterday. These two indicators are therefore worse on Tuesday.

The transalpine country remains the third most affected in terms of death, behind the United States and Spain.
