Alba González, current councilor of Gijón in the municipal group of Podemos-Equo, joins the Ministry of Equality headed by Irene Montero as head of the general direction of Equality of Treatment and Racial Ethnic Diversity. Before arriving at the municipal life, González was an advisor to the deputy Sofía Castañón in matters of public equality policies.
Alba González Sanz (Oviedo, 1986) is a feminist researcher and writer. Since 2013 he lives in Gijón, after being raised in Posada de Llanera and residing, at work and study seasons, in Madrid. His training includes a doctorate in Gender and Diversity and a Master in Gender Equality in Human, Legal and Social Sciences. She has a degree in Hispanic Philology and among her publications stands out the essay "Against theoretical destruction. Feminist theories in the Spain of Modernity" (KRK, 2018).
As a poet he has published "Notes on waiting" (Torremozas, 2010. XI Gloria Fuertes Prize for Young Poetry), "Relationship" (Suburbia, 2013) and "Smile" (Saltadera, 2018), in addition to the book "Broken suit · (Copy Unique, 2015.) Her work has been collected in different anthologies since 2016, she has been in charge of the Spanish poetry collection of Saltadera, "Dark Domain." She is also the author of novel biographies of Clara Campoamor, Virginia Woolf or Emmeline Pankhurst, among others, has experience in the field of cultural management and publishing for the past fifteen years.
The march of González opens the door to the incorporation to the municipal group of Juan Manuel Chaves, number four on the list, who was an advisor to Xixón Yes Can.
