Covid-19 cases detected last day were registered in Jurmala, Gulbene and Ogre counties

Of the four cases of Covid-19 infection discovered last day, two were registered in Gulbene region, one case was also diagnosed in Jūrmala and Ogre region, according to the data compiled by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (SPKC).

Two of the infected are in the age group of 30 to 39 years, while two are in the age group of 60 to 69 years.

Active cases of Covid-19 cases are currently registered in 24 Latvian municipalities – Gulbene, Priekuli, Babīte, Burtnieki, Garkalne, Līvāni, Jelgava, Ķekava, Kocēni, Ogre, Olaine, Madona, Mārupe, Salaspils, Sigulda, Talsi and Viļaka counties, as also in Riga, Valmiera, Liepaja, Daugavpils, Jelgava, Jurmala and Rezekne.

It has already been reported that in the past day, a total of 1886 Covid-19 analyzes recorded four new infections, according to information gathered by the SPKC.

The information at the disposal of the SPKC shows that one of the patients has entered from abroad, one has become infected through a contact person, while two patients are related to cases in Gulbene.

Continuing the epidemiological investigation in Gulbene, epidemiologists have managed to find out the epidemiological link and source of all cases, the SPKC indicated.

From Wednesday, due to Covid-19, municipal institutions closed for face-to-face visits in Gulbene municipality for at least two weeks, except for kindergarten on-duty groups, are provided for by the order issued by the chairman of Gulbene municipality council Normunds Audzis (ZZS).

Such an order has been issued taking into account the increase in the number of Covid-19 infected people in Gulbene region.
