COVID-19 – New measures as of July 1, 2021

The national coronavirus control commission announced new provisions on June 29, following a crisis meeting requested by the Prime Minister, Hichem Mechichi.

This decision was taken mainly to put in place supervision measures for positive cases affected by mutant strains, and following the deterioration of the epidemiological situation.

New measures as of July 1:

The curfew from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. throughout the territory

The head of government ordered an investigation into the forms of gatherings observed in recent days in some regions.

It was also decided to increase the number of field screening operations with a view to tracing the chains of contamination.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Nissaf Ben Alaya, clarified that from a scientific point of view, general containment is not necessary for the moment.
