Creative and flexible marketing for the entire Upper Palatinate

Schwandorf. How do you manage to make the Upper Palatinate known as a top region? This has been the mission of Oberpfalz Marketing e. V. The re-elected first chairman, district council president Franz Löffler, will be at the head of the association for another two years.

The general meeting in the Oberpfalzhalle in Schwandorf showed that courage to change is the key: With new board members, an “almost” new managing director and exciting event formats, the team is starting new projects.

Chairman is full of praise

“The lockdowns have shown how creative and flexible Upper Palatinate Marketing is. Despite the difficult pandemic conditions, we have not stopped pursuing our mission and marketing the Upper Palatinate for what it is: an economically successful and innovative region that keeps reinventing itself,” said the 1st chairman and district president Franz Loeffler upon his re-election.

Premiere for the managing director

After the compulsory break caused by Corona, the 2022 general meeting with new elections for the board and the auditors was the first in two and a half years. And also premiere for Manuel Koppl, the one in June 2021 Christopher Aschenbrenner succeeded as managing director. The “Brand 4.0” project aims to position the Upper Palatinate more broadly.

“Upper Palatinate Marketing is celebrating its 20th birthday and I’m celebrating my first,” says the studied journalist Köppl and cuts the three-colored cake with the colorful club logo. “An incredible amount has happened in the past 365 days and my small team has been very successful in handling some mega projects. That was a very turbulent and exciting year under difficult pandemic conditions.”

Successful project Oberpfalztag

One of these successful projects was the Oberpfalztag, which was celebrated on May 14th and 15th in Amberg as an “Innovation folk festival”. The response was overwhelming, tens of thousands came to experience and enjoy the region in all its facets this weekend. Crowd puller Tradinno – the dragon Fanny from Furth im Wald – couldn’t be missing.

Strong ambassadors from the region

The appointment of the first six ambassadors from the Upper Palatinate was also a complete success and part of the new “Brand 4.0” project. “With this project, we want to broaden the focus of our work and no longer do the content production for ourselves alone, but strategically and operationally together with the project partners in the ten districts and urban districts of the district,” explains Köppl.

In recent years, the company has concentrated on its own channels and topics and has had very good success with it and has been able to steadily increase its own reach. “But now it’s time to take the next step and expand the brand: to our districts, urban districts and all other players who contribute to the image of the Upper Palatinate with their communication channels and brands.”
