There are constant transfer rumors surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo and that won’t change this summer. Portugal striker Jorge Mendes’ agent is said to have moved from the shadows to prepare for a possible exit from Old Trafford and Ronaldo has recently been linked with Bayern and Chelsea.
A third option was also on the horizon, a more romantic but more unlikely return to Sporting CP.
Sporting CP sporting director Hugo Viana may be ready to rule out Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival at short notice, but isn’t completely shutting the door on the player’s return to the Estadio Jose Alvalade.
“I don’t think it will be possible, not now, but you never know. He can decide where he can go, but you never know. He has a year left on his contract and we will see what he decides,” director Viana told Sky Sports.
