I am recruiting on behalf of a client which is currently seeking a experienced Mechanical Engineer/Cryogenics Engineer based just outside of Chicago, Illinois.
Job Description
– Create and supervise the production of machinery and systems suitable for both cryogenic and non-cryogenic purposes. This involves designing and manufacturing various equipment, such as vacuum-insulated containment vessels and piping systems, heat exchangers, valve boxes, purifiers, cryogenic refrigeration systems, and liquefiers
– Manage the efforts of ASME Code Inspectors and other authorization organizations to approve AET’s products and services.
– Monitor project progress in relation to its deliverables and regularly update both internal and external stakeholders on the project’s status.
– Assist in commercial and operational endeavors that lead to amplified revenue, profitability, enduring expansion, and enhanced customer contentment.
– Supervise the activities of other engineers, drafters, and technicians working on designated projects.
Requirements
– Completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering field.
– A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a specialization in cryogenic engineering, is mandatory.
– Experience in Process Engineering would be advantageous.
– Familiarity with manufacturing procedures including machining, welding, and testing.
– Capability to handle multiple projects and collaborate within tight deadlines.
– Proficient verbal and written communication abilities are necessary.
